Skeptic Check: Conspiracy!
The Apollo moon landing is a hoax! 9-11 was an inside job! Our government keeps alien bodies racked and stacked in an underground bunker! And as for the evidence … well … put on your tin hats, folks, we’re going deep, deep, deep into conspiracy with journalist David Aaronovitch.
Also – the truth is out there, but it’s ignored. Jonah Lehrer on why scientists can overlook evidence.
Plus, money for meters and your spooks for free: ghost detectors hit the market.
And Hollywood Reality Check and Phil Plait on bogus bomb detectors.
It’s Skeptic Check… but don’t take our word for it!
Listen to individual segments here:
Part 1 - Brains on Vacation
Part 2 - David Aaronovitch
Part 3 - Ghost Detector

I listened to this piece and a previous one while walking my dog. With so many jokes and tongue in cheek comments, its hard to know what you really think other than that all conspiracy theories & believers are nuts. But methinks you (and your guest) talks too fast. The main weapon in his/your arsenal is ridicule. Just as it was for me in my early decades. I hung up my skeptic spurs when the rug was pulled from under me, primarily by the declassification of documents under Clinton and subsequently reported in the Atlantic Monthly. All the plots previously heard from "crazy commies" were there in black and white. Since then we have had 911 and the financial meltdown. Conspiracy theories seem to be the only theories that might actually explain things -- certainly more plausible than the crap our corrupted money-democracy serves up. So i have to wonder what your gig really is. It can't be a seeking after truth since there is enough counter possibilities mentioned right in your own show to undermine your own theses, both on general conspiracy theory and climate change conventionalism as expressed in the previous show. Check it out. Walk a dog and you will find holes in your argument you can drive a truck through.
